asia
Temples, amazing food, diversity around every corner. Asia is the continent I’ve spent the most time in and its still so dear to my heart.
There’s nowhere in the world quite like Asia.
From developing countries, to expat metropolises, this continent is full of surprises.
Asia is where I’ve spent the majority of my time, with the exception of my home country, Australia.
I’ve lived in Manila, The Philippines. I’ve worked in Japan, Vietnam and Singapore. I’ve toured through Cambodia.
I lay by the pool in Bali and made my way out to the monkey forests of Ubud, too.
I’ve eaten street food in Delhi, Hanoi, Hong Kong and Penang.
I attended a friend’s wedding in Malaysia.
I sang for customers in a bar in Chitwan National Park, Nepal.
I lived it up for a few days in the United Arab Emirates and then headed over to Jordan to explore the wonders of Petra and Wadi Rum.
I’ve sunbaked on the beaches of Koh Samui, Boracay, Bali and Goa.
I’ve seen the sunrise over Angkor Wat.
I visited Turkey, where Asia meets Europe.
So, it’s pretty evident that Asia has formed a huge part of my travel experience since the travel bug bit a while ago. There’s a lot more to cover and a lot of places that I’m hankering to get back to on this continent.
The Best Of Hanoi Street Food
Hanoi street food is some of the freshest and most delicious in the world. Sure, sitting in a restaurant has its perks, but there is nothing quite like buying and eating tasty goodies fresh off the street. For some people, though, this can be a little daunting when...

Ho Chi Minh City is the cosmopolitan, exponentially growing home of Southern Vietnam’s amazing food, tropical weather, incredible history and lots and lots of motorbikes. I’ve been lucky enough to visit this city three times and it just always seems to call me back...
The Best Tokyo Neighbourhoods To Explore
Tokyo is a place that I just can't seem to stay away from for long. Since my first visit in 2011, I've been back three times and could easily go back again another three times (or more!). It is such a huge place that figuring out where to go in Tokyo can feel...
How To Spend An Epic 24 Hours in Sapporo
Sapporo is not usually on many travellers’ Japan itineraries. It’s further up north on the island of Hokkaido and for a large chunk of the year it is buried in snow. My June visit was excellently timed with beautiful weather which made it perfect to spend 24 hours in...
Exploring The Incredible Architecture Of The Taj Mahal In Agra, India
Visiting the Taj Mahal in India can be a seamless and easy experience with this guide to exploring the mausoleum. Whilst my own experience at the Taj Mahal was on the harrowing side (we'll get into that later), the site itself is beautiful and well deserving of its...
The Ultimate Guide To Visiting The Beautiful Town Of Orchha in India
Why Visit Orchha? Orchha is one of India's best kept secrets. This gorgeous town located in Madhya Pradesh hearkens back to the royal grandeur that can be found on an Orchha visit. The town feels really rural compared to the bustling cities of Delhi or Mumbai and also...
A Reflective Trip To Beautiful Goa In Southern India
I write this with sand between my toes, salt in my hair and a heart full of love. Goa seems to have that effect on people. There are so many things to do in Goa, but right now, I'm loving the ease of lazing around on the sandy shores of the beach. I’m here in Southern...
Cycling the serene Kerala Backwaters in South India
The Kerala region of India is the country’s best kept secret. This Southern Indian area is a complete contrast to the madness of India’s large cities and it is undoubtedly one of the prettiest and most peaceful parts of this vibrant and diverse country. I started my...
Hanoi to Halong Bay In A Day With Urban Adventures
Travelling all the way from Hanoi to Halong Bay in one day might seem a little ambitious to some. Yet, despite a four hour, pot-hole filled drive in each direction, the trip is absolutely worth it for those who just don’t have the time to commit to a longer stay but...
