belgium
UNESCO World Heritage Listed sites, war memorials and perfectly intact medieval towns are just a few reasons to love Belgium. I came for the history and stayed for the waffles, frites and beer!
Beautiful Belgium. A country truly like a fairy tale.
I cannot express enough how much I loved the very short time I’ve spent in each of Brussels, Bruges and Ypres in this amazing little country. I first visited Bruges and Ypres in 2016 when I spent three weeks in Western Europe in between jobs and again as part of my Thalys Explorer trip when I finally made it to Brussels.
I explored the perilous history of Flanders Fields in World War One in and around Ypres.
Then I wandered back to Bruges to roam the UNESCO World Heritage Listed medieval town filled with cobbled streets, climb the Belfort and eat some frites.
On my next visit I roamed around Brussels spectacular Grand Place and fell in love with the beautiful Galeries Royale Saint-Hubert.
