The Ultimate Guide To The Las Vegas Strip
The lights of Sin City are calling in this comprehensive Las Vegas Strip guide. One of the very best things to do in Vegas is to explore Nevada’s most famous (or infamous) asset, a spectacle that rises out of the desert on approach from the air.
The Las Vegas Strip guide features larger than life casinos and resorts, each one with their own gimmicks and attractions that makes them unique. And just outside the Las Vegas strip is the crazy world of Fremont Street and old Las Vegas.
Where else could a person be in Venice, Rome, Paris, New York and Ancient Egypt all in the one night?
Las Vegas Strip Guide
The Venetian
One of the most over the top locations on the Las Vegas Strip, but somehow still managing to be charming and appealing is The Venetian.
This icon of the Las Vegas Strip guide is famous for its incredible ‘indoor Venice’ complete with singing gondoliers navigating the replica Grand Canal under a painted sky.
Madame Tussauds also has a branch of the famous wax museum in The Venetian and for those wanting to get out of the desert heat, there’s also an ice bar for you to rug up and experience.

The Flamingo
The Flamingo is the Las Vegas Strip’s oldest casino and resort still in operation, and that alone makes it worthwhile for a stop as you traipse the Strip.
The Flamingo opened in 1946 and has been an icon of Las Vegas ever since with hot pink signage and courtyard with live flamingos.
This place has a fascinating mob history, with original mobster owner Bugsy Siegel being assassinated and commemorated by a plaque at the venue. The casino itself isn’t the grandest on the Strip but it does sort of bridge the gap between the Vegas of old on Fremont Street and this newer, slicker Las Vegas Strip.
This stalwart of the Strip has also featured in popular culture throughout the ages including in the movies Viva Las Vegas and the original Ocean’s 11.
Eclectic writer Hunter S Thompson also stayed at the hotel and wrote about his drugged out experiences in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Caesar’s Palace
Caesar’s Palace is another venue in this Las Vegas Strip guide that manages to navigate territory carefully with a Roman theme that manages to feel classy and elegant.
Despite leaning into the Rome decor heavily with a replica Trevi Fountain in the Forum Shops area and a huge live music venue called the Colusseum, Caesar’s Palace attracts an upmarket crowd, packing out the gaming halls night after night.
The main thing setting this venue apart, however, is the incredible Vegas residencies boasted by the complex – Elton John, Celine Dion and Adele have all called the Colusseum home for their live shows.

The Bellagio
Las Vegas’ famous dancing fountains live here outside the enormous Bellagio Hotel and Casino.
In the evening, every 15 minutes the water flits, floats and waves in time to music that can range from Uptown Funk to God Bless the USA.
The water show is super impressive, with the fountains roaring as water is shot up to a huge height in front of throngs of onlookers.
This is an attraction that doesn’t get old. The Bellagio is also home to the Cirque de Soleil water show ‘O’ which is one of the hottest tickets in town.
This must-see resort in the Las Vegas strip guide also features a stunning Consevatory and Botanical garden which changes seasonally and is free to explore.

Paris
Paris Las Vegas is one of my favourite stops in this Las Vegas Strip guide. Easily spotted straight away for its iconic replica Eiffel Tower, this lovely themed hotel and casino is one of the prettiest in the area.
Complete with its own replica Arc De Triomphe, Paris Las Vegas captures all the delights of the City of Lights and offers some great options for dining that don’t break the budget.
Those wanting the full Paris experience can even ascend the Eiffel Tower for wonderful views that overlook the entire Las Vegas Strip.

New York New York
New York New York may be one of the kitschier destinations on the Las Vegas Strip, with faux Manhattan vibes. This hotel and casino features the Strip’s very own rollercoaster that twists and turns its way around the complex. There’s no better way to take in views of the strip than upside down!
New York New York also hosts the Big Apple Arcade, which is a great gaming spot for families offering up Air Hockey, NBA Fever and Skee Ball.
In true New York style, you can also find a steak house, an Irish pub and a sports bar to cater for all tastes here!

Excalibur
This medieval castle might be one of the most dated hotels and casinos on the Strip, but it still has a real sense of fun about it. Excalibur doesn’t take itself too seriously, which is why it is still worth popping into for a visit.
Family-friendly, kitschy and with a great pool area, Excalibur might not exude Vegas glam, but it is still a great choice for those not wanting to break the budget and have a more casual stay.
