31 countries, 5 continents and counting!
Some people travel to tick countries off a list. I travel to places I love and when I love a place, I go back there multiple times. I’ve been to Japan, Singapore, France and The Philippines 5 times. I’ve visited Malaysia, Belgium, Hong Kong and The Netherlands twice. I have set foot in the US and New Zealand three times each and the UK four times.
There’s a lot more to see, though, and I am constantly planning how I can get back to the places I haven’t yet returned to. I’ve managed to get around a lot of Asia and a fair bit of Western Europe as well as finally making it to Scandinavia.
On my last international trip back in 2020, I rang in the new year in South Korea, but sadly had to cancel my trips to Italy, Malta and Japan due to the pandemic.
Right now, I’m enjoying lockdown lifting in Sydney just in time for Christmas and I’m hopeful for a more travel-filled 2022!
Where I’m Going Next
Unfortunately, 2021 has proved to be a quiet year for travel with the pandemic still rampant and much of Australia being in lockdown for most of the year. Fortunately, international and domestic travel looks like it may be back on the cards once more in 2022 – though there’s still some uncertainty making planning challenging.
